Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Revelation Generation 2010. Volunteers are the backbone of our festival and we appreciate all of the volunteers who have helped for the last 5 years. Volunteers are carefully screened before acceptance. Please read the Rule & Requirements below before submitting the Volunteer Application at the bottom of the page...
RevGen 2010 Volunteer Rules & Requirements
AGE - Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Some exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, however, the Volunteer Coordinator will have the final decision
LIABILITY FORM - EVERY volunteer must sign a liability form or they will not be allowed to enter the field. This form will be emailed to you and it is your responsibility to send it back as per instructions immediately.
WORK ETHIC - We expect every volunteer to report for their scheduled shift at least 15 minutes prior to the start of their shift. Consequences for failure to report for your shift include, but are not limited to, expulsion from the festival. You may be asked to report to another committee/job position at any time. Please accept these changes with grace.
You are here to serve and your actions are a representation of the festival. Your thankful heart shines through your eyes and your smile, and that's what our guests will admire. Keep your focus on helping others and your attitude will make all the difference in the success of your efforts. RevGen volunteers are expected to always maintain a high standard of conduct. Any volunteer can be dismissed from their position and/or escorted from the festival grounds for unacceptable conduct.
Unacceptable conduct on festival grounds includes: smoking, use of profane language, consumption of any alcoholic beverage, possession or use of any illegal substance, bullying or threatening behavior.
HOURS - We require six (6) hours of work. You may serve longer, but not short time. Pre-arrange longer hours with your committee head. You will be assigned shift hours and must report to your assignment at least 15 minutes before beginning your shift.
BREAKS/MEALS - Volunteers get two (2) 15-minute breaks during your 6-hour shift and a one-half hour break for meals. These breaks will be assigned by your shift supervisor.
You may purchase a meal from the wide selection of items available from our vendors. Additionally, you may pack food and/or water on ice and leave a cooler in your car for meal breaks; however, coolers will NOT ve allowed in the festival grounds once the festival has begun.
NO MEALS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR VOLUNTEERS - NO EXCEPTIONS!
TRAINING - We require all volunteers to attend a training meeting with their committee head before entering the event field. Training will cover use of equipment specific to your committee and the procedures needed for your position.
CHECK-IN - EVERY volunteer is required to check-in at the Volunteer Check-In Tent upon arrival to the event. Please arrive 45 minutes before your shift time. We will check that you have a liability form on file and verify your shift hours. You will then be given your wristband for entrance to the festival grounds. You are required to notify your shift supervisor that you have arrived.
CLOTHING - History has proven that the weather can be unpredictable during this weekend. We have had hot, cold, and wet weather. Please dress in layers, including a raincoat and shoes that can get wet. Bring a change of socks, shoes, and extra layers of warm clothes to leave in the car in case you need them. Sunscreen is always recommended. A hat is also a good idea.
